This time the picture was a Chinese dragon surrounded by waves. My friend <a title=\"Sara's G+ Profile\" href=\"https:\/\/plus.google.com\/u\/0\/100211143166692571405\/about\" target=\"_blank\">Sara<\/a> chose this, because the kid will be (or is now) born in the Chinese zodiac of a dragon and it is the year of the element &#8220;water&#8221;, thus a dragon surrounded by water.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_49\" style=\"width: 692px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/schrecklich.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/complete.closeup.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-49\" class=\"size-full wp-image-49\" title=\"Chinese Dragon (Close-up)\" src=\"http:\/\/schrecklich.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/complete.closeup.jpg\" alt=\"Chinese Dragon (Close-up)\" width=\"682\" height=\"542\" srcset=\"https:\/\/schrecklich.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/complete.closeup.jpg 682w, https:\/\/schrecklich.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/complete.closeup-300x238.jpg 300w, https:\/\/schrecklich.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/complete.closeup-377x300.jpg 377w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 682px) 100vw, 682px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-49\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chinese Dragon (Close-up)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>As always, I used my Kryolan Aquacolors and water color brushes. The process of painting took about two hours. I started with the dragon itself, then the surrounding that with the white foundation, then the waves and finally some details of the dragon.<\/p>\n<p>Before I started painting, Sara installed her camera to make a time lapse video of the painting. So, this time instead of &#8220;making of&#8221; photos, I present the &#8220;making of&#8221; video:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/y_QuZIBbDF4\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>It was a pleasure to create the dragon painting.
